Quick Setup Mobile SuperFly Screen
One of the biggest advantages of renting a mobile screen is the quick setup (and teardown) time. From the time we arrive to the time we have the screen up and running is typically under an hour.
Because of the fast setup time, we can pass the savings on to you. Compared to regular trussed or other build-on-site screens, this will save hours of setup and a whole crew of labor. The mobile SuperFly jumbotron can be set up and run by one person, making it a much simpler (and less expensive) process than the typical LED screen. This also allows us to come in later and your team to continue preparing for other tasks and vendors. Of course, there are always other factors that can make overall setup take longer, so we always prefer to arrive well before, depending on any extra gear we have to set up for your event.
Another nice perk of a mobile video screen is that it can potentially be setup in multiple locations throughout an event. Certain events, such as marathons, festivals, trade shows, and more may have the need for multiple screens, but not necessarily at the same time. So if you have the focus of the event at one location for the first part of your event, but then moves to a new location later, we can tear down quickly from the first spot, and set up again at a new location. For example, at a marathon, you may first want it at the start line, and then we can tear down and move to the finish line or a party zone after. This saves you from renting multiple screens, and gives you the most out of your screen rental.
The process of setting up the SuperFly is quite simple. We arrive on-site hauling the screen inside the trailer with one of our pickup trucks. We park the trailer in a level location where it will play for the show. We can get it in most locations, but sometimes if we need it in extremely tight spaces or even closer to a stage, we may require assistance from a skid-loader or other heavy machinery. We prefer to set the trailer so the driver’s side is facing your audience, but it is not necessary, as the screen rotates 360°. Once it’s in place, we extend the four outriggers for safety. Then we will either run on our on-board generator or plug into shore power (see the Power Solutions page for more info). Next, we will raise the top half of the screen, rotate that half 180°, and set it back down on the bottom half and connect the two halves. We then raise the entire screen so it comes out the roof of the trailer. Once it is all the way above the trailer, we extend the wings of the screen to bring it to its full size. At this point it is ready to play content, and we can work on setting up any other gear we have for your show, depending on what else is involved. Please refer to our Load-In Help Sheet (coming soon) for more info on specs and spacing needed to load in the trailer. Please discuss with us prior to the event your layout, spacing, and plans for the LED board.
