Power Options For DragonFly Mobile Jumbotrons
From a field in the middle of nowhere to the center of downtown, our LED jumbotron screens are always ready to go. Whether we are providing our own power or running off the provided shore power, between these two options we will never be without power to our mobile screens. These are the two options for our jumbotron power:
Self-Supplied Generator:
All of our mobile jumbotrons, including the DragonFly video walls, come equipped with an on-board generator that we can run our screens and all our equipment from no matter where we are. The generator is very quiet, so even when it’s running it will not disrupt your event or bother guests. The generator will run on its own for a long time, and is typically the easier option. However, there are some circumstances that shore power is the better choice.
Shore Power Connection:
In some occasions a shore power hook-up is the best option for a power source. We can also connect to another remote generator on-site if needed. Please view our Shore Power Help Sheet for more information on this type of power connection. We carry 100 feet of cable, so we would need to be within 100 feet of the power supply with enough room to connect to the trailer. Our ends have male cam locs, and we also carry bare-wire and turnaround adapters. If we are plugging into power you supplied, we require an electrician to help connect and disconnect before and after the show. To plug into your shore power or generator, these are the requirements for our screens:
- 240 V
- 100 amp
- Single phase
Note: Refer to Shore Power Help Sheet for more details.
