Safety Is Our Number One Goal
Our first priority at any event is the safety of your guests and our crew. When wind speeds start nearing 35 MPH we need to begin lowering our FireFly SS screens. With wind that severe, the screen acts like a giant sail and catches the wind, and the last thing we want is for it to topple over, especially if it is near a crowd.
We keep an eye on the radar and weather reports constantly, so we are always prepared if severe weather hits. If we see winds approaching, it only takes about 30 seconds to lower the screen halfway into the trailer, which is more than enough to reduce the wind load and keep everyone safe. And when the threat passes, it only takes another 30 seconds to raise the screen back up from this position. This is an advantage of our mobile screens, they increase the safety of your event versus a screen built into your stage, and it reduces downtime. We can also display weather warnings on the jumbotron to alert your guests of sever weather before it arrives.
Rain or snow can’t stop our screens. We will play through the weather so that your guests can still enjoy the event even if the weather doesn’t want to cooperate. The only weather conditions that will force us to lower the screens are high winds and lightning in the area, but at the point you will probably have other issues than a lowered screen.
We take safety very seriously, and take every precaution to make sure the event is as safe as possible for all those attending.
