An Update Since Our Last Blog- The Blog is Back!

What We Have Been Up To Since This Summer

This summer we have been busier than ever. While we have brought our screens from one event to the next, we have had to cut back on some “less essential” tasks. That means our blog has taken a back seat to some more crucial operations. So even though we had our hands full this year, we made sure that our events did not suffer, and that anything directly involving our events or equipment would take top priority.

Because we haven’t blogged in quite a while, we thought we would give a quick update on what we have been up to this past summer with Fire Up Video and Fire Up Creative. As mentioned, we have had what is probably our busiest summer to date. We have brought our mobile jumbotrons to events of all types, including concerts, sporting events, political rallies, marathons, corporate events, trade shows, festivals, movie screenings, tailgating, religious services, expos, business meetings, and more. With both modular and mobile screens, we have traveled all over the country, and also to Canada. From Los Angeles to Florida to New York, and all over the Midwest, we were able to be a part of so many great events.

While we fortunate enough to be a part of some of the biggest and best events to date, we were also busy expanding our screen options for clients by adding 300 brand new tiles to our screen offerings. The HD 2.6mm LED tiles more than double our modular inventory, giving options of over 500 modular tiles with two different pixel pitch options, as well as four mobile jumbotron in two different sizes. The new tiles will provide customers with a new screen option with an even higher resolution, giving a crystal clear image, even with small font and images. We have started using the new tiles this fall on a number of shows, and have been very impressed, and so have our clients.

With a more than doubled modular inventory, we needed somewhere to store all our new gear. So we started to build an addition onto the Fire Up Ranch in Andover. We just got the walls and roof on before the first snowfall, and are currently working on the inside. The new space will give us more than enough room to store all of our new tiles, as well as give us more working space, and allow us to spread out some of our other gear in a more efficient way. We now will have nearly 5000 square feet of warehouse space, as well as 700 square feet of office space, and additional storage space in the Forest Lake shop.

Along with our huge new inventory, we have also spent time upgrading other equipment. We also recently purchased new Stagemaker chain motors to hang our screens from. We have also purchased plenty of gear to improve our shows and client experiences over the last few months, including a trailer, cables, tools, repair equipment, video gear, backup solutions, software, and more. We are constantly upgrading our gear, as well as working hard to maintain our current stuff. We will have more detailed info on all of our updates in future blogs, so stay tuned.

As you can see, we have been busy the last few months, but it has all been worth it to be a part of so many great events, as well as to upgrade and improve our inventory of gear. We still have plenty to look forward to in 2023, but are happy to be catching back up on some of the more minor things we have set aside at our busiest time. We are ready and excited for another amazing year in 2023. And make sure to stay up to date on all things happening with our blogs and staying connected with our newsletter.
