Always Prepared. And ALWAYS Have a Backup Plan for Jumbotron Screen
In the LED screen industry, we know things change, and events often don’t go completely as planned. That is why at Fire Up Video, we always try to have a plan B, and whenever possible, a plan C, D, E, etc. It is very important to have a backup plan with so much equipment and technology being used.
Many events require a lot of high-tech equipment with different video inputs and connections for the video wall. Video display can be a complicated process, and sometimes things don’t always work how they are planned. But if you have enough options with you, you can typically find the connections that will make it work. And that is exactly why we carry all the extra equipment with us that we do. This goes the same with ALL of our equipment and processes, not just video.
There are countless occasions that we pull up with our mobile screens on site, ready to set up, and we are told the plans for the event have changed. We need to put the Jumbotron in a tough location, we are using different video inputs, we have to make much longer cable runs, there are new audio needs, or a huge variety of other unexpected situations constantly come up. We have always been able to come up with solutions to solve the problem, and many times have been able to help clients and even other vendors.
But the best backup plan is to not use your backup plan at all. This is why we do everything we can to plan ahead and make sure we know everything we need to about the event to make it as smooth as possible. We like to keep in constant communication with the event organizer so we know exactly what to expect. Of course, things don’t always go as expected when we arrive at the site, so that is why we have the backup plan and extra equipment.
