Safety is Our Number One Goal

 The DragonFly screen is designed to perform in nearly any weather conditions. We run our jumbotrons in rain or snow, and the only real issues for the large 12×19 foot screen is wind or nearby lightning. We have built in outriggers to stabilize the screen to 40 MPH gusts, but when that type of wind hits, you normally would have bigger problems than us lowering our screen.

We keep an eye on weather reports and radar, and if we see high winds approaching, we will lower the screen halfway. It only takes about 30 seconds to lower the screen, and 30 to raise it back up if the winds die down. Safety to you, your guests, and ourselves is our top priority, so we pay close attention to this.

Similar to wind threats is lightning. If there are lightning strikes nearby, we will lower the screen halfway, and raise it when the lightning passes. As with wind, chances are, your show is already on pause at this point anyway, so not having a screen for this portion isn’t likely a concern.

The mobile screen can actually increase safety for your event for a few reasons. One being that we can raise and lower the screen quickly, unlike some other forms of built-in LED screens. Second is that we can add a message on the screens stating that severe weather is coming as well as instructions for evacuation, etc.
