The Event Industry During a Pandemic
Normally this blog is updated twice a week with new content. However, as with many things over the past year and a half, it has been a little bit different lately. Over the last few months we have been busier than ever, and unfortunately we haven’t had the time to post new blogs recently. Of course we don’t want to take any shortcuts in any areas that would affect our equipment or ability to provide quality service for your event, so writing blogs was one task that was given a temporary lower priority.
But we just wanted to let everyone we are still (very) active, and to give an update on what is happening with us. As mentioned, this has been an extremely busy summer for us, with the first part of the year being filled with socially distanced and hybrid events, with many other events coming back shortly after that. After last summer with most events cancelled and filled in with a few socially distanced events to fill in, this year has been quite the change back from the year before. We weren’t sure what to expect this year, but have been thrilled to have one of our busiest years ever.
Of course we know things are not “back to normal” like before the pandemic, but between the socially distanced, hybrid, and full live events, our LED screens have been used at a huge number of events so far this year. We also don’t know how things will continue to evolve, but we are happy to help events with their jumbotron needs if they feel safe with their specific event. We will continue to follow laws and guidelines to be a part of any events that choose to go forward. And if anything, our mobile video screens allow events to be more safe than an event without them. Of course they can be used for drive-in events that can keep people more distanced. But they also allow event attendees to be more spaced out because the big screen allows guests to see the action from further distances.
We still have plenty of events on the schedule over the next few months, and dates are filling up quickly. If you have an upcoming event and are considering an LED video wall rental, it would be best to call and just get the conversation started. We would be happy to talk and see if a jumbotron is right for you, and to find out any details for the event. Our video screens are getting booked for many dates, so it is best to get talks started early.
