FireBall Camera Rig Used to Display Live to Jumbotron

We Created a New Camera Rig, the FireBall

At Fire Up Video, we rent our mobile screens at many concerts and other large events. And at these live music shows, we often run live cameras of the action directly to our Jumbotron video walls.

Because our crew often spends many hours a day at these events running a camera, we created a way for our crew to get great shots while being able to easily hold and control the camera. Trying to come up with a solution to large camera rigs that can get too heavy to hold for long periods of time, we created the FireBall Camera Rig.

The FireBall rig uses a round ball as a third point of contact to easily be able to move and rotate the camera, while taking off some of the weight to get amazing shots on the big screen. We use this at many events, and have received a lot of positive response from other camera operators who have tried out the FireBall. You can take a look at it in more detail in the video below, as well as the second video showing the FireBall rig in use.

You can also watch the video below of an event we used our FireBall camera rigs to display live onto the LED mobile screen. Once the song gets going, you can see all the amazing angles and shots that we can easily get with the Fireball rig.

Fire Up Video provides mobile Jumbotron screens for events and concerts all over the Midwest, including states, such as Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, and more.
