Sun Country Airlines Uses LED Screen for IPO Announcement

We are always looking for cool ways to use a jumbotron. This one hit pretty close to home. You see, Deb Baum, who is the the wife of Dave (Owner and Partner of Fire Up Video) and mother of Cody (Partner at Fire Up Video) works for Sun Country Airlines. As Sun Country was getting ready to have their Initial Public Offering listed on NASDAQ, Deb received the below email. So we downloaded the app and got ready for the big day, March 17, when the company would go public. We were excited to be part of the event, even though we were sitting in the comfort of our Andover, MN home.

How cool was this, showing it all on the app and the jumbotron in Times Square. We really felt the excitement of it all. Being involved in the jumboton business, it was fun to be on the other side, and see how the screen really helped to create an experience for everyone involved.

So we just wanted to say congratulations to Sun Country for their IPO, and to my wife Deb, who is now not only a Sun Country employee, but an owner as well! Below is the email sent from Sun Country:

“Team Sun Country –

I’m very excited to let you know that we have made great progress over the last week on our process to become a publicly listed company. Although, even at this time, things are still subject to change, our anticipated listing and debut as a public company is now tomorrow morning!

We’re planning a virtual celebration to commemorate our first day as a public company with our friends at Nasdaq, including ringing the opening bell, and we want you all to be a part of it when it happens.
