LED Mobile Screens for Events in Snow and Rain

Every year around this time, we like to make our annual reminder that our screens work outdoors in all four seasons. With the recent snowstorm that has come early this year, we just like to remind our customers that our mobile LED screens work just fine in the snow and cold of the Minnesota winters.

Of course our jumbotrons work great in the summer months, but they have also been build to withstand all the crazy conditions that Midwest winters can throw at us. There are a few extra steps and precautions we need to take, but we have used our LED video walls in outdoor winter weather all year throughout the years. In the middle of huge blizzards, rain, sleet, snow, and negative temperatures, our screens have outlasted all these conditions.

As is the case year round, the weather we do need to be most concerned with is high winds and lightning. If either of these conditions are present, we can quickly lower the screen halfway within thirty seconds and wait until it passes. Negative temperatures and heavy snow/sleet accumulation should be monitored, but are still manageable, and have yet to slow our screens down in over ten years of business.

One other consideration is to make sure we can get our truck and LED trailer in place at your venue in the weather conditions. We haul our trailers with full-size pickups to get them into place, and require a clear path to the final screen placement. Specifically for winter events, this means snow plowed around the video screen location, and that the path is drive-able through snow and ice.

We have brought our screen to outdoor events in the winter such as hockey games, snowmobiling events, cross country skiing,  events, ice fishing tournaments, polar plunges, and more, including the normal summer events as well. Some of these include concerts, trade shows, corporate meetings, other sporting events, tailgating, family gatherings, movie screenings, festivals, expos, political events, and much more. We even bring our screens out on the frozen lakes for a number of events each year.
