Making the Best of a Bad Situation
During this COVID-19 pandemic, our events industry has basically come to a halt in order stop the spread. But instead of giving up or complaining, we are taking advantage of this extended time away from these live events. Of course we would rather be renting our mobile jumbotrons for all your amazing events, but because we can’t do that right now, we thought we would make the most of a bad situation.There is never a shortage of tasks, training, sales, projects, office work, research, and more that can be done within our business. Our first priority is to keep our employees and others safe and healthy. But there is still plenty that can be done independently in our shops, or from a home office.
Before the recent “shelter in place” order in Minnesota was put into action, we had focused on working on tasks that a single person could do while practicing social distancing and still getting important work done. We have used all this time to repair LED tiles, clean up and organize around the shop, working on our gear, testing some new techniques and software that can be used for future events, and more. Extra time like this can be rare for us, so we didn’t want it to go to waste.
And now we are taking it a step farther doing our part by not coming into the shop at all even when it is one person completing a task. We are doing everything we can from our individual home offices. This includes anything from business paperwork, future sales, talking with clients, further training on software and new equipment, and more.
Even though we can’t be on the road at your events right now, it doesn’t mean that we are just sitting around doing nothing. There are always things we can do to improve our company, and we hope that once this is all over, the extra work we put in during this down time shows. Even during a really tough time, we work to find the opportunity to make the best of a bad situation.
We will continue to work on these stay-at-home training tasks and projects until we are able to get back out there and do what we love, bringing great experiences to your live event with our LED mobile screens.
