With four mobile screens and tons of events, getting a signal from camera to screen or from one Jumbotron daisy-chained to another can be an issue. We recently invested in wireless video signal system that has work perfectly for us at many of our events we’ve used it at so far.

Our wireless video system is rated for 3200 feet. We have used in a number of times in the field at around 1000 feet and under with no issues. We are still waiting to try at a much further distance at an event. Our experience in the past with other systems is they have never given us the distance they are rated for. We are expecting 2000-2500 feet with success. Anything beyound that is a bonus, and would reliably difficult to trust. And with all events, the signal is completely dependent on what else is in the air, meaning any other signals that are using the space that could cause conflict.

With wireless we are not limited to the constraints of a cable. So like the ad says “Cut the cable.” Go wireless when it makes sense.
