LED Screens for Drive-In Graduation Events During COVID Pandemic

Last spring, COVID was still a fairly new concept, and people were still figuring out ways to hold in-person events safely, including graduation ceremonies. Now with the upcoming class of high school and college graduates approaching a year later, we think we have it pretty well figured out. With two seasons of graduating classes having gone through socially distanced ceremonies, we have the experience to make your graduation event special, and safe.

While the vaccine has started coming out, we still don’t know how things will be by the time of the first 2021 graduation ceremonies. Should we still be on some form of restrictions, a drive-in graduation event has been a great way to celebrate the achievements of the students in a fun and safe environment. This method allows the students, family, friends, and faculty to gather a socially distanced way while still being able to get together and celebrate their accomplishments. And it’s already something so unique from so many other graduation classes that didn’t have to plan graduation in the middle of a pandemic.

With our large LED video screens, we can display the students, faculty, and any other speakers live onto the jumbotron screen for all attendees to see easily from the comfort of their vehicles. Another bonus of the video board is that you can play videos showing classmates and memories throughout the year, making it a truly special event. We can play audio through our sound system, or bring our FM transmitter to allow guests to listen to the ceremony through the radio in their cars.

We did quite a few of these drive-in graduation ceremonies over the past year, so we have a pretty good idea of how it works. We are more than happy to offer any advice and walk you through how it works, now that we have the experience. Many of the schools from last year have reached out again for 2021, waiting to see where we are at with COVID. And some have already booked because they loved the idea so much they want to do it anyway, with or without COVID restrictions. Because graduations typically fall all around the same time, dates will likely fill up quickly should we have event restrictions still at this time, as well as other Summer events.
